Join the beta program for our new AI companions for museums
An invitation for pioneering museums to experiment with responsible AI tools enhancing visitor experience.
Culture For Causes Network (C4C), the non-profit organization behind MuseumWeek, the worldwide festival for cultural institutions organized with the support of UNESCO, is launching a call for beta testers among museums and cultural organizations.
We’ve developed two experimental AI companions designed to enhance how visitors prepare for and experience museum visits.
We are now inviting a small group of committed institutions to join our 3-month beta program, which is completely free and based on collaboration, transparency, and mutual learning. Participating museums are expected to actively follow and support the testing phase, by testing the prototype in real conditions, sharing short feedback, and contributing anonymized insights.
Together, we’ll shape the next generation of responsible, human-centered AI for culture.
Muse Companion, your on-site interactive guide
Muse Companion transforms the museum visit into a meaningful, playful learning experience. Through dialogue and visual quests (Treasure Hunt, Scan, or Guide modes) visitors explore your collections in an active and engaging way.
Muse Companion is eco-friendly, token-efficient, and entirely based on your own dataset.

Xenia, your digital host before the visit
Named after the Greek goddess of hospitality, Xenia helps visitors prepare their visit directly from your website.
It answers questions, provides highlights, and adapts to your museum’s tone, using only content curated and controlled by your institution. Moreover, Xenia doesn’t just respond , it learns from interactions to become more and more accurate.

Why join the beta program?
By joining, your museum will:
Test AI-based visitor engagement tools with no development cost, allowing you to evaluate how ready your audiences are for this kind of experience.
Get early access to an innovative AI companion designed specifically for museums.
Contribute directly to the design of responsible, human-centered AI tools for the cultural sector.
Gain visibility as a pioneering institution experimenting with new digital practices (by mutual agreement).
Benefit from a preferential framework if you later wish to deploy the solution after the beta phase.
The collaboration remains non-commercial during the beta, but museums that contribute to shaping the prototype will naturally be considered first-tier partners when the tool enters its deployment phase.
Please note that participation requests will be reviewed to ensure a balanced and diverse group of partner institutions. Selection will be based on alignment with the project’s objectives and the museum’s commitment to actively support the beta phase.
